eTextile Spring Break Community Social
eTextiles is a practice that embeds electronics and electrical circuits into textiles using conductive fabrics, threads, and yarns. The Spring Break Community Social is the culmination of a weeklong camp in which artists, engineers, hackers, and designers from around the world explore the intersection of craft, textiles, and technology.
2019’s edition of the event was a huge success. We made textile selfies using hacked 80s knitting machines, played with dozens of natural bioplastics, made music out of pom pom synths, and a lot more. Thanks to all who came out. An extra special thank you goes out, of course, to the eTextiles crew. We hope that the time you spend here each year inspires you as much as it inspires us.
Here's to next year, everyone.
