The Art Nest is a fully ADA accessible drop-in artmaking space and classroom in Maxon Mills. Stop in every Saturday from 12–5 PM for a new project from our Lead Educator, Emi Night, and exciting guest educators! Students are also welcome to make use of our full materials library to pursue their own projects.
Past projects have included:
Please note that the Art Nest is a drop-in, not a drop-off space. Parents are expected to remain with their children at all times. Also, if you’re able, please consider making a $10 donation to the Art Nest when you sign in. We are committed to the Art Nest remaining free and accessible to all, but are only able to sustain this effort through targeted grants and community-driven donations. Your contributions will go directly to materials and staffing in the nest.
Our thanks go out to the Ahmed-Schnepf family for renovating the nest in 2019.
The 2026 Art Nest renovation and relocation is supported by Robert & Toni Bader Charitable Foundation, M&T Charitable Foundation, Hinton Phillips Family Fund, and Dutchess County Youth Opportunity Union (YOU) Drop-in Center Grant, Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY), and Robert Wilder.
