The Haunted Mill is back again!
This year features a garden of ghostly night-blooming paper flowers and animatronic moths by Rhonda Weppler, a stuffed animal shrine with a dark secret by Ben Pinder, a decaying digital archive inhabited by forgotten signals and corrupted memories from misfiring information media by Amarildo Moraes, a wall of metal masks made from salvaged materials by Brian Walters, a cardboard haunted house by Hannah Perretti, larger-than-life animals made from steel by Wendy Klemperer, a walk through the life of an anthropomorphic demigod cat by Hex Geissinger, a haunted garden by Grace Lang in collaboration with Super Stories and the WP JV/Varsity Art Club students, a dance music meets folk tales audio installation by LORE (Hunter Petree and Delilah Friedler), previewing their performance at the Monster's Ball, a giant suspended medusa head by Z Behl and Kim Moloney, an oil drunk creature that makes a destructive visit to any ole generic city by Orrin Whalen, a Cirque Du Freak circus by Rixy, and, on the top floor, a corn maze menaced by a tangled cloud of crows by Lu Valena.
Saturday Haunted Mill tickets are $10 for individuals and $20 for families. (Two parents, one kid? $20. Two parents, four kids? Still $20.) On Friday and Sunday, tickets are discounted to $8 for individuals and $15 for families. If your family has a student in the Webutuck Central School District, keep an eye on your email for a promo code for a free ticket.
Please note that we use a soft timed entry system to help the line move smoothly. Tickets are still available at the door, but we recommend RSVPing and selecting your attendance time in advance (Saturday from 5–6 PM is historically the busiest time). You will not be denied entry if you come outside of your scheduled time.
On Saturday the 25th (only!) at 7:00 PM, we’ll head over to The Lantern’s garden for the Monster’s Ball, featuring a costume contest and live music. Please note that Monster’s Ball tickets must be purchased in advance and all attendees must wear a costume. Meaning: no day-of or at-the-door sales and uncostumed ball-goers will be turned away, even with a ticket. We’re not kidding! Tickets have sold out in advance of the event every year and are on pace to sell out earlier than ever this year. Dress to impress, dance ’til you drop.
