Who

Please join us for the unveiling of Molly Gochman’s Monuments to Motherhood and inseparable. On October 18, 2025, an outdoor bronze sculpture from Gochman’s acclaimed Monuments to Motherhood series, alongside the land artwork inseparable, will be permanently installed on our grounds. This event marks the first public unveiling of inseparable.

The sculpture from the Monuments to Motherhood series is a nearly 10-foot bronze sculpture honoring caregiving in all its forms. By monumentalizing the unseen and undervalued labor of nurturing, sustaining, and supporting communities, the sculpture challenges dominant narratives of public commemoration. The second installation, an outdoor land art piece titled inseparable, spells the word “inseparable” in Braille through 28 grass-covered mounds of earth. Both works invite visitors to climb, touch, and play, underscoring our deep interconnectedness with one another and with the natural world.

About the Artist

Molly Gochman is an artist and activist deeply engaged in social practice and focuses on activating spaces for profound collective experiences. Her practice encompasses a diverse range of mediums, including photography, sound, installation, and sculpture. Through these mediums, she often challenges and subverts conventional material boundaries to foster interaction, play, exploration, and meaningful dialogue. Molly frequently explores concepts encompassing human connection, environment, and community, rooted in the belief that life's experiences shape us. Guided by the concept that "life leathers us," her works not only aim to aesthetize but also reflect the passage of time through weather, wear, and change. Her practice continues to evolve with a desire to actively engage participants, inspire meaningful dialogues, find commonality, and discover shared human experiences. Originally from Texas, Molly is currently based in New York.
