Opening Reception: November 29, 5–7 PM
GLAD YOU ARE HERE, a solo exhibition by artist Jeila Gueramian, opens at the Bailey Art Gallery in Hobe Sound, Florida on November 29th. Known for her immersive environments constructed from repurposed and upcycled textiles, Gueramian creates tactile, multi-sensory worlds that invite viewers into spaces shaped by color, texture, and imaginative play.
The exhibition features a major new installation in the South Gallery, where visitors encounter an expansive textile ecosystem designed for open-ended exploration. The North Gallery presents a selection of sculptural and wall-based works that demonstrate Gueramian’s innovative engagement with found materials. The exhibition also includes a participatory component in the Project Space Gallery, where visitors are encouraged to create creatures and forms that build on the installation’s subaqueous theme. This initiative began with contributions from twelve students from Banner Lake Academy, underscoring the project’s commitments to sustainability and community collaboration.
Gueramian’s work has been shown at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Columbus Museum of Art, and the Children’s Museum of the Arts in New York City. She will present a solo exhibition at the Fuller Craft Museum in April 2026.
GLAD YOU ARE HERE is on view until January 10th, 2026 and is free and open to the public.
