All Is Not Lost

Maxon Mills

October 2019 + August 2020 to October 2020

Christy Chan’s All is Not Lost is a six-story outdoor video projection of a waterfall flowing backwards on the side of the Maxon Mills. Originally installed as part of Take a Selfie of Me in fall 2019, the work is intended to be a meditation on the uncertainty of the times we live in, and our very human, but futile attempts to hold on to experiences and memories.

Funding for this piece was provided by the New York State Council on the Arts
