
Kelly Adelia was born in Florida and grew up in Kentucky on a Thoroughbred horse farm. She has an MFA in Sculpture from Pratt Institute, a Post-Baccalaureate in Painting from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA from Hampshire College. She is currently a psychoanalyst-in-training at Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies.
She is an artist and works in installation, fiber, assemblage and artist’s books and maintains a colorful and meticulously organized studio in Bushwick Brooklyn. She is a past resident of the Wassaic Project.
She is the owner of Store Called Store, a vintage toy, art and unusual object store in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. She resides in Greenpoint with her daughter and her Welsh Corgi, Murphy Brown.
