Walker Esner

Photographer

I'm a New York-based freelance photographer originally from Brooklyn. I graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Photography and have been mainly focused on editorial portrait work. Before moving upstate, I managed post production at a photo studio. In March of 2017, I moved to Dover Plains with my girlfriend, Jenny, and our pup, Bunk, in search of greener pastures. Literally. We're currently in the process of building out 7 acres of farmland into what we hope will be a good balance between a hub for partying and quiet seclusion. I first came to Wassaic’s summer festival in 2012. Once I moved nearby, I squirmed my way into the opportunity to photograph the organization's events and take portraits of the residents moving though the program. It’s a pleasure to become more intertwined with the Wassaic Project. I look forward to seeing the organization evolve and hope that I can play a small role in advancing it.
