Sarah Reagan

2023 Sculpture Fellow

Sarah Reagan (she/they) makes sculptures infusing traditionally brutal materials like lumber and concrete with playful qualities to evoke a more childlike perspective on the world. Her work explores the challenges of moving through a world that often seeks to punish our individuality, resistance, curiosity, and queerness. They received their MFA in the Craft/Material Studies program at Virginia Commonwealth University. Reagan also served in the Peace Corps in Togo and Mexico. Her work has been exhibited internationally at the Corrente de Ar in Lisbon, Portugal, the Minneapolis International Airport, and the City College Art Gallery in San Diego, California.
